I would guess it may give a couple HP. The LM catback shouldnt be very restrictive. It would prolly be a bit louder. Before I had LT's and OR-Y I gained 6rwhp with my cutout opened vs the wide open plate Borla catback.

I had an SLP Loudmouth 1 and, after I removed it at the rear axel intersection in preparation for the installation of my Magnaflow muffler, I drove my car around town and observed the following:
- My car had sounded meaner and better with the full Loudmouth piping and resonator.
- My car felt a little slower between 5- and 30-mph.
Keep in mind that this is just one person's experience. If your Loudmouth is bolted on, like mine was, and if you have the time, desire, and experience, you could always remove your resonator and see what you think, since sound and performance are so subjective.
Good luck with which ever decision you make!

I honestly thought when standing behind the car that my car with long tubes, off road y pipe, and lm1 was louder than my buddys car with long tubes, off road y pipe, cut out to a magnaflow muffler. Maybe because mine is piped out the back and on his car some of the exhaust is still flowing through the magnaflow muffler?
To sum it up there is no point in putting a cut out on a lm1. It might be louder inside the car (more rattles) but outside I honestly couldnt tell much because both were so loud.

+2 to what Turk said a sock cam is designed for the back pressure from a full exhaust, another problem is the electronic cutouts seem like they always leak, take that into consideration if u have a tight *** safety inspector
