Default Alternator Help

I have an 02 WS6 that's been having some power issues. I went to Autozone a few weeks ago because my battery power gauge (sorry for bad terminology) looked very low. They tested my battery which was probably 10 years old and said it was bad so I bought a new battery. The car started to die while I was driving it. I made it to Autozone again and after testing it they said the alternator was bad. To make a long story short, I've since replaced the alternator twice and it still isn't supplying power to my battery to keep it charged. I've talked to a couple people who suggested it may be a fuse or wiring problem.

My question being, where do I start with troubleshooting this?

Dumping money into this thing as a college student is really not fun, so I'm hoping it's something simple I can fix myself.
