Default ls1 water pump question

do they make rebuild kits? got my old one laying around collecting dust and before scraping it just want to know.

not that i know of.......i destroyed my old one to see what was inside......dont think they can easily be rebuilt from what i saw

Never seen a rebuild kit, but I wouldn't doubt the seals and bearings are off the shelf items. Might end up costing more than a chinese made pump from autozone though.

why would you want to rebuild it? as he said ^ a duplicate works great..

Hey I really need some info and you guys have had them apart, are you able to remove the impeller from the pump, I'm looking into a Davies Craig ewp and I'll need to remove the impeller somehow, or can you post a pic of the internals so I can see if id be able to cut the wheels from the impeller ???

You'll need to remove the rear plate, remove the front pulley, press the shaft out the back with the impeller. I'm think the impeller is just press fit on the shaft, never taken one off though,
