Default What do you guys think?

Building to:

-Moser 12 bolt
-383 Stroker Kit (Lunati or Eagle, whatever is stronger really)
-3.73's

Need Advice:
**These questions are for correct set up, best performance based on Senior Tech and LS1 owner Knowledge. And longevity of my car I'm keeping her and Ill get another DD down the road.

-Ignition coils: should I upgrade them?

-How should I build the 12 bolt on Mosers site for a DD occasional track car?
-Should I install a new oil pump?
-What else should I do to my handling/platform?
-Any other recommendations on this build? (cam, heads/headers, ignition ect.?)

My guess on numbers would be around 500rwhp/500rwhtq Whatever I get I'll be happy with as long as it really throws me back in my seat

I would go for a 9" instead of the 12 bolt. To many stories about gear whine after a few hard launches. Since its a M6 I would do 4.10s instead of the 3.73s. The kit looks good except for the pushrod length. I would prefer to measure. Alot of guys with my same set up ended up with different lengths. And I dont think I'd tear down a perfectly good LS1 to go to a 383. I would run the stock bottom for a while and later on build a 408 or swap in a LS3. Stock coils are fine and the oil pump would be cheap insurance. I've never heard of anyone running sphon shocks but I'm running Bilsteins with strano springs and the handling is definately better. Also what was the DA of your pass? 99mph seems pretty low of a trap speed. Good luck.

So are you saying build a 408 from scratch or built the LS1 to a 408?

I've seen a lot of videos and 1 car in person with spohn so I figured they were good if they were so popular. I already thought the Ws6 has blisteins or shitty ones.

Think I should go with a LS6 pump?

I still have the ticket from the track I was confused when I got it and read it but my friend confirmed it when I showed him. Also I dont want to go to 4.10s right now that will be later on when I get another DD.

A 408 is LQ4 or 9 based which is a iron truck motor. Since your low miles I just can't justify tearing down a completely good LS1 and rebuild it to a bigger 383. If you were set on a 383 I would just do heads/cam on the stock bottom and when something happened rebuild it and go bigger and reuse your heads etc. My 02 WS6 had the same decarbons my Z28 had. Black and orange. If you are going to replace the oil pump I would go with a ported LS6. I've got the TSP pump. And 4.10s would be just as driveable as the 4.10s. Instead of 80 mph @ 2000rpm with 373s you'll be turning 75mph @ 2000k with 4.10s. My around town fuel economy actually picked up with 4.10s when I just had a bolt on car. My cam only car got 25mpg on the interstate with 4.10s.
