Default Little header install help, will take 2 secs to answer

So I'm almost totally done with my Pacesetter install. I didn't even have to notch my K-member

Anyway, I'm just about ready to fire her up running open headers, but I was wondering about the O2 sensors. I have the rears installed (I read somewhere that even though it says to use the front the rears will work just as well) and am wondering what to do with the fronts. Should I just leave them hang? Disconnect them from the little node? Or do I HAVE to have the fronts installed, and if so, what to do with the rears? Thanks guys.

Install the front O2 sensors, not the back.

If you have a way to plug the rear holes with a fitting plug them opposed to leaving sensors hang their. Hook up the fronts!

So the fronts have to be hooked up? I coulda sworn someone told me the rears would work. Either way I don't have O2 extensions so I can't get the front to hook. I have the rears in the holes right now. Do I disconnect the fronts or what?

The crucial readings come from the front O2 sensors.

Could I just put the rears in and have the codes deleted or do I have to have O2 sensors somewhere. I can buy extensions if I must I suppose.

But for right now, so I can drive it to the muffler shop, WHAT ABOUT THE HANGING? I have no clue what to do.

You should not drive it without the front O2 sensors connected. The pcm determines the A/F ratio from the front o2 sensors when it goes into closed loop. THe rears are just emmisions. Without the rears you will get an SES light but it will not effect anything

You guys rock, time to buy some O2 extensions. I'm not concerned about the back (emissions) ones, just the fronts. What length/head type (round or square????) do I need to connect the front o2's to the header? I emailed Tom at Speed Inc but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I need these ASAP.

Car is a 2000. Headers are Pacesetters. Are the 12" really long enough? I guess I could crawl back up there and look.

I would think 12" is definitely long enough. But call Pacesetter, they will know for sure.
