Angry LS6 Intake Install... Bad to WORSE

So taking off the intake i break my pcv tube, i deal with that. Now i'm on the last intake bolt in the back left (underneath my a4 dipstick tube), as it is i had to wait a day to get a small 8mm wrench. I put it on the bolt so happy that it was the last one and BAM the bolt freakin stripped out completely! I've never touched it before!!!! Now what am i suppose to do!!! I'm ready to say the hell with it and put it all back. My coil re-location kit came with one threaded rod to short, i tried to set those up and my computer wires just wont f**)*)#* work with me. I'm so fed up right now, i'm ready to trade it in for a new cobra!!!

Hang in there, nothing is ever a drop right in! Can you get a set of vise grips on it?

Yes, well i got the bolt out and the intake off and i found that there is oil coating the intake ports on the motor and on the intake, so much that its dripping out of the motor intake ports ever so slightly. Is this normal? I can't imagine that it is. Anybody know what this is?

Yeah the oil is normal.

You really need to use a torque wrench on those bolts... specs are ~ 7lbs

Details are here: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?ar...b86d1e525ac431

my torque wrench wont fit on the last few, also not installing the LS6 till tuesday, thats when it's scheduled to be in anyways. I'm hoping to gain 10rwhp from the intake, bellows, and opening up my borla all the way. Think its possible through the automatic? I hope so. I can't wait to drive the car again

Yeah, you can rent one from Murrays or buy one from sears for $70.

Just be careful not to drop anything in your ports man, that would make your day worse than you can ever imagine.

i'm sure you can drive it if you don't get on it man, no need to trailor it unless you have the ability to very easily, just drive it safe.
