FAST 102 or Clutch
Hey guys. I'm torn between these 2, mods are in sig and I'm thinking abut doing a 102/92 setup or going with a new clutch. I'm maxxed out on the stock injectors so no matter which intake I go with I will need new ones.
The again I still have the stock ls6 clutch in the car with only about 20k on it. I was thinking about going with a mcleod rst with light flywheel which would drop around 15lb of rotational weight off the engine and give me security.
What say yee all of ls1tech?

Clutch....if it's not giving you problems yet it's not going to take much more power to start sticking. Usually they act up around 400rwhp.
Most aftermarket clutches / pressure plates are heavier so the lightweight flywheel offsets most of the weight. You usually end of saving 5lbs or so. I have a Diamond stage 2 with LW flywheel and couldn't tell a difference at all comparted to stock. Except it holds a lot more power of course.

ya i was leaning towards the clutch anyway. I haven't had any issues yet but I'm sure the tick mc helps.
I'm planning on using tdp's chromoly flywheel which is around 15 lbs but the RST is a 10" clutch as opposed to the stock 12 lowering the moi and its only 22lbs as opposed to a stocker around 27lbs. With the chromoly fly it comes in around 36 lbs for the setup opposed to the stock 50 and has a much lower rotating mass than a 12" factory size clutch.... So I think thats the winner lol

The clutch pedal effort is like stock, and there is no chattering whatsoever. Can't say i've felt the car rev faster or anything, but in theory it should even if it's unnoticeable.
