Default What heads for Speed inc SI6 cam? To many choices out there.

I need help on what heads to get for my car. I have a speed inc SI6 cam(235/240. 111lsa). I have 243 heads now. I dont want to fly cut. So ptv needs to clear for what ever heads I go with. The car is a street car and will see the track maybe 3 times a year. Thanks for any info!

Are the heads stock? If so, you may pick up some nice power by having them ported instead of purchasing aftermarket castings.

Yes the heads are stock. I was looking into having them ported by A.I. They seem to do great work.

I wouldn't mill them though unless you can check the PTV clearance. What thickness head gasket are you running?

You can't go wrong with Advanced Induction or TEA for that matter. Since you already have the heads, it seems like a logical choice to me. Or, you could sell them and have that money to put toward a set of TFS 220cc as cast heads. You could mill the TFS heads due to valve angle and run a higher compression which will yield more HP/TQ. Get them with PM guides and you can run stock rockers.

I have the SI5 cam and Speed Inc. recommended the PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads.
