Default Oil pressure concern! need opinions

Alright guys I have a concern with my oil pressure

I recently did a cam swap and installed a new oil pump at the same time

Then one I bought was the High volume GM performance pump from summit.

I changed the oil at the same time with valvoline 5w30 full syn

Previous to this I was running Valvoline VR1 50. I did this to try and quiet down my valvetrain with my old cam. I had ran that oil for about 15k miles

My concern is-

Now at hot idle im only at about 20lbs
and my WOT is only about 40.

Should I be concerned about those numbers?

When Installing the new pump, I replaced the oring and took extra caution when installing the pickup tube as to not pinch the o-ring. Bottom line, I know it was installed correctly.

I didnt replace the cam retainer plate and my sending unit is stock from 97.

Could running such a heavy oil previous to this caused problems with bearing clearances?

since my new pump is high volume, could that also mean low pressure?

Maybe I shouldnt be worried, Ive never seen it go below 20 and im running a fairly thin oil at this point but I dont want to grenade my motor any time soon.

New pump has about 500 miles on it now

I could go back to running a heavier oil but thought Id get some opinions

About 10 psi per thousand rpm, at a minimum.

I just used the Oring they sent with it.. I couldnt tell you what color it was cause I dont remember. Either green or blue.

Did I damage something by running such a heavy oil for so long?

I would verify the pressure with a mechanical gauge before going to crazy. I've read a lot of threads about senders going bad and you could have knocked into it when you did the work.
