Default Help choosing 85mm MAF for ls1

Hi fellas, I am looking to replace my stock ls1 maf with the bigger 85mm. Looking at this one

Amazon.com: Delphi AF10043 Mass Air Flow Sensor: Automotive Amazon.com: Delphi AF10043 Mass Air Flow Sensor: Automotive

Anyone using this one or another? I know I'm gonna need a harness adaptor to go with it. thanks

That one is fine, you'll need the adapter harness & tuning.

If you have HPT, you can grab the base data off a stock Z06 tune or 03+ truck for the 85mm MAF data.

Not unless you are moving enough air the stock maf is a restriction.

I gained nothing on a 230/238 cammed car with better heads

390rwhp unlocked through a 12 bolt. Would be around 410-420rwhp through a typical t56 fbody I suspect. It seems they start to be worthwhile above 450rwhp. On a 470ish rwhp car I've seen dyno results on this site of 5-8hp.

Not a bad upgrade so long as you realize there is the cost of the MAF, cost of the harness adapter, and it needs tuning...and might not net you any gains, but it will give you room to grow.

I'm sure there are exceptions but that's been my personal experience and the results I can recall from lots of watching dyno threads here.
