Default Heads & cam for my truck?

OK folks, while I got the Trans Am under control, I'm considering a H&C job on my truck.

2003 Ascender (Envoy) 5.3.

I'm looking for good low end torque but still able to rev high. Will probably go with the TBSS intake manifold.

I would look at 6.0 swap than go heads an cam. I did a mild cam lq9 in my sierra an it will run with 90% of the head an cam 5.3 I've come across. The price point is a wash selling the 5.3 after.

Thanks but the engine is staying in the truck.

I'm looking for somebody who's done H&C on a 5.3 truck motor and had good results.

What are your goals? At first glance, I'm thinking milled 243's with a tick SNS2. Should have good torque and with the overlap would still rev. The 243 heads will support the airflow

rev how high?

what are you wanting the truck to do? stock converter? I really like my Cam Motion drop in cam. Solid 40rwhp gain over stock but it still has all the same manners as stock even with the factory converter and no headers. It's good for 6,000rpm shift points and I was able to use ls6 springs so it was easy and cheap.
