I've always used as a basic rule of thumb is minimum 10-psi per 1000 rpm. So, if you're definitely getting 40-psi at 6K for realsies, then yes, I think that's a concern. LOL, just saw thunderstruck with a different rule of thumb. Our thumbs must not match...
If you're talking WOT, but in 4th at 30mph, then it's no big deal at all.

That could indicate you need to run thicker oil, but then the whole debates starts up. I'm assuming your motor forgot what stock looked like, so you might want to talk to some of your parts vendors for their recommendations.
Something else that might be worth checking - a bit of a long shot, but easier than an oil pump - is your PCV. If you are overdrawing vacuum on your crank case, that can cause lower oil pressure.
When you rev, does your oil pressure dip and then recover, or just climb with RPM's? if it dips, and you can verify with a mechanical gauge, your pump is probably going out

I would want someone like KCS or Paul Bell to chime in, but when I see oil pressure initially dip when revving and then catch back up, I start oil pump shopping.
