Default How would my car sound with Chambered Dual's.

I want to put true dual's, X pipe with chambered muffler's. But I will be doing it with stock manifold's. Because I don't want to really spend all that cash on header's it will be for sound mostly. How would it sound with the x pipe and the chambered muffler's dumped?

They should sound pretty good. I talked to Lane, well PM'ed on one of the other boards, and he said it should sound great. You True Dual people run into any problems with no rear exiting exhaust??

Sounds great man, let me know via PM and we'll set something up. I'd have no problem with that.

it seems to me from the your clip camaross01slp, that the chambered mufflers are even louder than the bullets?!?! I have a 2.5 inch x pipe with 18 inch bullets but i've been thinking about switching to some chambered mufflers cause its sounds so damn sweet but i swaer i think they are louder than bullets...what is your take?

Billfold, i live in northern va, our law enforcement is rather strict. I was actually pulled over just yesterday cause i "dont have tail pipes"...not because of the sound level or anything...the police officer that pulled me over lives in the same development as me and i got some fake tips put in and asked him if he thought id be ok,...u know get the scoop from the source...he gave me the thumbs up said it looked great and sounded awesome...lol im still dumped at the axle w/ no cats and bullet mufflers...oh and long tubes as well

hope that was what you were asking.

lol, thats pretty clever, I have thought about doing that. It would be pretty funny to see it when it gets cold because you would see the exhaust coming from the middle of the car and not through the tail pipes

For some reason, I've heard a 3'' dual system with bullets and my setup still sounds louder even though I use chambered mufflers & it's all 2½'' piping?.....Weird but true, even my buddy said so.....Mine sets off car alarms just cruising by and his doesn't as well......

I too have sweet thunder chambered mufflers and love the sound. I have yet to meet anyone who doesnt agree. Ive actually been told that its the best sounding exhaust they've heard on a LS1.

The cam did change the tone a bit (mostly at idle of course) but it still sounds awsome. It is indeed very loud. Louder and deeper (but with a much better sound) than my old set up that consisted of a 3inch y-pipe to the loud mouth.

Sweet Thunder & Dr. Gas are the only way to go, IMHO.

Anyone gotten the true dual chambered exhaust to exit the back?? the T/A's look funny with no tip IMO. I know the chambered muffler needs to be as close to the end of the exhuast so I'm wondering if it's possible?

Yes it is possible. My friend has his exhaust out the back. PITA but worth it if thats what you want.

Check this page out and scroll down. He is running 2 sets of chambers. Looks like a well built setup!

Some are shorter, some are longer.

The shorter the muffler the louder it will be.
