Electric Water Pump, Plus Autometer Elite Gauge
So, the autometer elite gauges have a 5v signal out for when you experience a programmable "high warn" and "low warn".
Anyone running an electric water pump using a gauge like this or a similar temperature sensing mechanism to "turn on" their electric water pump instead of running it all the time? Or running it in a state where it spins slower (like idle mode on high capacity fuel pumps)
Along the same thread, if you are doing that do you still run a thermostat? Seems like it would be pointless to do so at that point as you can regulate the coolant flow by modulating the electric water pump.
