LS3 Water Pump on Camaro LS1
I've also done a ton of searching and agree that there is a lot of conflicting information. Ideally, I would like to put a LS3 water pump on my 2000 Firebird Formula. I have read that the 2010 camaro ss will fit if you use a puller to pull the pulley out 8mm. I have also read conflicting reports that the "LS2/LS3 Corvette water pump will bolt on with a 3/4" spacer.

If the ls3 pump requires much more modification other than a spacer, I will probably use a ls2 pump (2006 GTO 6.0L) which is supposed to be a direct bolt on.
First, it's considerably shorter than the LS1 part. That was the reason I changed mine, because I needed a little more space. Notice the 3/4" spacers under the ports.

Second, The hose connection is in a different spot. You'll need to fab a new hose (not a big deal).

And, third, you'll need to use the matching pulley tensioner.
For others researching this, it appears that there are (at least) two versions of LS3 pumps. I believe the pump discussed here is p/n 19180610 (ACDelco 251-728), which fits 2012-2015 Camaros (and Corvettes, but I've found conflicting info on which years). I've seen other posts discussing how a Camaro LS3 pump works with truck accessories - those are offset even further out from the block, I believe. It seems those posts are referring to the 2010-2011 Camaro pump. See for example post #4 here, which suggests 19180610 has shallower pulley/block offset: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...pump-pics.html (It seems L99 means automatic LS3.) Until I found this post, I wasn't sure myself.
On the tensioner, it looks like 12628025 is the one to use with 19180610.
Anyone with info on this please feel free to confirm or correct anything I've said. I'm just trying to figure this stuff out myself, and there is so much conflicting and/or unclear info out there. Thanks!

I did use the matching tensioner.
Also, note that the inlet is in a different spot than the LS1. So you need to change your hoses a little bit.

Also hoping to run steam tube into spacer on driver's side. Makes more sense to me to push air into the rad (bib for small hose to expansion tank is right above rad inlet) instead of the block. But it seems that doesn't matter either if you're running nice and cool. I am deleting power steering, and assume PS bracket interference is the main reason people run it to the passenger's side...?
