Default Quieter exhaust: 3.5" borlamouth or x pipe

So currently I have a 228 cam with dual 3" x pipe with sweet thunders dumped and I'm done with the headaches every time I drive it either due to fuel smell or noise. I have an ORY that's been opened up to 3.5" with a borla xr-1 3.5" tube attached and could buy a reducer and phab 3" catback to make a borlaphab i guess.

Or I could keep the X, switch out the sweet thunders(good sound, not so good flow) for 3" phab resonators I have and go under the axle and out the back

I think if the borla was 3" it would be the quiet winner but I'm sure the half inch makes it a bit louder, drone city when I ran just it an dumped. I'm looking for the most quiet exhaust setup between the two without spending more than a couple hundred bucks. Any takers?
