Pics of my custom dual 3" cutout install on my 99 C5 FRC. 
I actually offset the cutouts slightly like so:
This way I can put McCord MPP2s (when they come) in and have them face the same way without the motors hitting. There was no room to mount them any other way, as the DTE strut brace is in the way, and I'd lose ground clearance if it was lower.
