True duals over the axle
I was told today that you can't run the driver side of the x pipe over the axle and out the rear. I know it's phsically possible. The guy I talk to said that it could only be run out the back if you bring both pipes down the passenger side alot like Speed Inc's set up.

Speed Inc. (ls1speed.com) has a over the axel tru dual setup. Its expensive, but take a look. I also have seen a sway bar that allows for larger piping over the axle, but I cant remember where it was or the brand.

Do a search, a lot of people have done this or have discussed how to do it. Running 2 1/2" pipes will make it easier, but it's been done with 3". The swaybar isn't the problem on the drivers side, it's the panhard support bar. BMR makes a replacement to give you more clearance.

Thats it. My bad. I knew it was one of the damned bars on the rear . It has been a while since I read that information so I was working on some bad brain cells.

I just got my true dual setup put on last week. It is a 2.5" over the axel setup. The pipe is setup that one side goes over the driver side and the other goes over the passenger side. It has great clearance and I only paid $525 for the setup

I'll try and take some pics and a sound clip this weekend. John over at J&T Auto did them since your local if you are interested.
I'm using a pair of 18" sweet thunder mufflers and they sound much better than my longtube/ory/gmmg setup.

that's exactly how i want to do my set up. i've seen the one at speed inc, it's just out of my price range for the set up. I've order an x pipe from them, got the bullet mufflers from summit and i'm welding on my old magnaflow tips. all i need is the bends over the axles. I'll do the welding myself. so far i've only spent 180 dollars. if i can get the pipes bent for cheap it shouldn't be over 250 dollars. I went today and ask around town and everyone said it could'nt be done. i was just wondering what performance or clearance issues i would have because i know it gets real close to the panhard rod and you have to worry about the fuel lines right there.
