Flowtech or Pacesetter?
ok..so I have decided to definetly go with LTs and an off road pipe, but now I am now down to deciding on which one. Money as always plays a huge part. Flowtech is a good looking header and cheaper but I have heard that they are terrible to install, but I am having mine installed.
How do they perform compared to pacesetters? I want the look of the flowtech because they are noticeable underneath the car.
thanks
ben

If cash is such a problem, why are you paying some one to install them? I say just get the Pacesetters and install it all yourself. It isn't that hard.
The updated version of the Pacesetters don't require any modifications.

get the coated pacesetters. they look really good, are very cheap, and dont reduce ground clearance. im gonna order them anyday now.
p.s. ive never heard anyone say anything good about flowtechs, all has been negative. the guys at TSP called them junk and i think they said they used to carry them.

I too would like to know preferences from these two. Jet Hots are a nice header but too expensive. The price would have to be more competitive. You can get coated Pacesetters or Flotechs for less than $400.

Jet Hots are superior to the Pacesetters and definantly the Flowtechs. The major problem with Flowtechs is the quality of fabrication. The collectors are angled towards the floor board, give me a break. Those = crap. Pacesetters are at a better level than the Flowtechs which give them the advantage.

Well... i had my flowtechs installed.... took alot of grinding on the frame, but after that, i have no complaints at all... no leaks and no problems to speak of..... yet......
But if i had to do it again... it would definatly be pacesetters, ive seen them side by side now and they are of much better quality.

No Idea why My flowtechs went in w/ absolutely no trouble at all...Only thing i didnt like was around the holes of the tubes its weld or something....made it so they didnt fit up against the head good. I should have grinded them down...
However I just picked up some jet hots at a crazy price. Another thing was I used stock gaskets which didnt do so hot...So I decided i might as well change them...
