Stock Exhaust
As far as I know, my exaust is stock on my car except for the flowmaster muffler. I just really got to look under it today, and noticed that it only has a cat on one side of the car, like

Is that normal? One side of the exhaust isn't even being filtered.
Just thought it was weird, so let me know!

You can see how only the right side of the car has a cat before they meet at the y pipe.

Oh also, the pipe on the left (without cat) is kinda smushed, I guess for clearance.

But in my defense, the most I have to get under the car is ramps, and even then its a squeeze to fit under it, so I don't have much under-time

See my post above......look down from the top of the engine bay....right past the manifolds are the cats.....to which the Y-pipe then bolts to.

The cat from the driver's side is tucked underneath your stock exhaust manifold in an almost vertical orientation. You will also see your post-cat O2 sensor there. the smashed part that you see is there for added ground clearance. I wasn't trying to be an a-hole with the newbie comment. Spend some time underneath your car and look around.Buying a HELM's repair manual from your local auto parts store provides an invaluable wealth of information about our cars and costs less than 20 dlls.
