Default LS6 Intakes

Is SLP the only company that makes these with egr?

i just got headers with all the emissions fittings so i have no choice to buy the intake with egr.

Yeah, just use block off plates, and remove the egr stuff. And then have the codes turned off, or live with a light. You wouldn't want to keep egr, takes horsepower, not much but every little bit adds up.

It's really easy to get rid of the EGR. You can make blockoff plates out of sheet alumnium, a pair of tin-snips and a drill. Takes about 5 mins to make a block-off plate.

How do you ever get something like that to seal?

Don't be cheap. Shell out a couple buck for some thick steel plates from one of the sponsors.

Just use a gasket with it. It seals fine and dandy and mine's held up for over a year with no sign of wear.

Ha ha ha ha. $150. That must be a joke. LOL.

Seriously...that's insane. I have bought entire cars (non f-body of course) for less than that.

Thunder Racing offers the SLP manifold for about 20 bucks less than SLP or TByrne if you want to keep the EGR intact. All three are sponsors.
