What does your March pulley look like?

What does your March pulley look like? I got this March fluid dampened pulley directly from March (PN 4521), and it doesn't look how I expected it to look. This might be stupid, but if it's fluid dampened, shouldn't I hear some liquid floating around in there too? Post up a pic if you've got one (I dont have a digital cam any more).

Not necessarily, the fluid might be packed in there real tight, only working/functioning once installed and spinning at higher rpms, maybe?

So just a plain black pulley? That's all mine looks like. Nothing special about it - it's pretty freakin heavy too. I can't imagine how much the stocker weighs!

You can find pics of the March (and ASP) on Thunder's site I think.
I talked to March about the pulley wondering asking if i could heat it up to install it and how it was fluid dampened. They said that if i heated it up it might change the viscocity of the oil. So as far as i know it a type of oil in there so its probably pretty thick.

Believe it or not I swear I could feel the car reving more smoothly between 5500 & 6600 rpm's. If I'm not careful I easily bang off the rev limiter, where as before I always found myself wanting to shift early because the motor felt like it was straining over 6k. Who knows, maybe my stock pulley could have been slightly out of balance but we'll never know because I'm keeping the March on there.
The stocker & the March are real close in weight, thats what I put in my car. Been in for almost a year (got one of the first) no problems. Most others are light-weight small pulleys. Not the place to look for weight savings IMHO.

so it sounds to me like if you want some added insurance to help the longevitty of your
motor you should get a MARCH ....
but if you are just looking for an extra 10hp and possibly harming your crank , get the ASP. which has NO extra dampning...
