Go to http://www.ls1sounds.com/ and have a listen. Everyone is different, personally I don't like the sound of a loudmouth (especially through a ORY) so it would do no good for me to tell you what sound best.

1. GMMG
2. Hooker
3. Magnaflow
4. Blowmaster

have you ever heard , "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Good example, hav a friend who loves his cutouts. I personally think that my true dual sound best. I would suggest a loudmouth though. Very popular!!!

I usually hear that a true dual setup or the chambered GMMG is the best. I have the Borla, it's a unique, nice exhuast tone, but it isn't loud enough for me (with stock manifolds). Go with the true duals.

Magnaflow. Quiet down low, roars when it has too!! Best experienced with cutout lol.

Define best. Do you mean loud? Deep? Do you like rasp? There is no best catback, essentially. A large number of people will tell you GMMG is the best, simply because of it's deep ballsy sound all the way to the redline. Its also decently loud. Since you ordered an ORY however, I would recommend the Hooker. Cheap, flows great, and is one of the few catbacks the sounds good with an ORY. IMO it sounds better with an ORY over a catted-y. Even GMMG gets a tad bit raspy with an ORY. Another option would be Magnaflow. Flows great, fairly cheap, and sounds decent. It all comes back to what you like though. I would check out the Hooker, to sum things up. Hope that helps

Same here, got the borla with open plate and i like it alot, but i would like it louder...so for my mods to come im getting some QTP's with a catted y-pipe but with cut-outs b4 the cats so its like im running straight headers (to scare teh local ricers!!)

The best catback has to be Magnaflow. I had it on my car for about 700 miles with stock manifolds and no CATS and it sounded wicked. It really screams in the 2100-2350 rpm range. It has every thing you want, deep, raspy and mellows out in top gear. I have open headers now, getting true duals next week. Duals are the only thing i would take off my Magnaflow for. I really loved it !! I'm thinking about selling my Magnaflow with my stock SS tail pipes and tips. PM me for price.

Best is purely a subjective word, but I like my GMMG on my LT1.

I loved my Hooker cat-back on my car when it was stock.. alonggg time ago.... then with my jet-Hot LT's and Offroad-Y it sounded awsome..... just enough at cruise and awsome when WOT.... and if its not loud enough for you a $25 cutout and about $25 to weld it in at any exhaust shop will do the trick there........ Im ditching the LT's now with my new turbo setup but im keeping my Hooker catback and swapping to a 3.5" Elec cutout for all out.
To each his own

I love my GMMG...deep, throaty tone, but just do your research, and try to find cars with different setups to listen to if you can so you can get the best idea of what you want, good luck

I get compliments from my Jethot LT, Hooker ORY, Borla with custom plate in. It sounded frickin wicked when I had my center console out!! I'd be curious to hear it with a Hooker catback. A friend has a hotcammed stock manifolds and cats car with a Magnaflow. Very quiet just driving around, but sounds like symphonic horn when he's on the gas. Very nice sound.

I love my loudmouth. But I have stock manifolds and y-pipe. The reason why I like it so much is because it's loud annoying and scare's the **** out of soccor moms in there vans and SUV's when I blow by them. Just pure music.
I agree though there are better sounding exhaust out there the best being GMMG IMHO. Especially after hearing a Stage 3 ZL1
