cut out
Ok...so who is running a cut out? Where did you locate it? How does it sound? Any gains on the dyno that are worth while? Electric or manual? I'd rather not do any wiring, so how are the manual ones? The reason I am asking is because I have a flowmaster cat back....I like the sound but I know they don't really flow well.

I have flowmaster cat back as well. I have two manual cut outs The first one I put right before the muffler. (don't ask me why I didn't like it) 2nd one is in the I-pipe welded in right under the passenger seat. It s a 3" QTP manual 34.95 Sound is great IMO A little popping once in a while but on stock manifold sounds nice. You should pay more tham 30 to have one welded in. Gains are approx 8-10 hp do you'll love it. I never cap mine up ever.

One of the easiest places to put one is in the back in the bend of the I-pipe right before it goes into the muffler. You can uncap it really easily and most muffler shops can just fab one up for you in no time.

That's where I put mine (electric).
Sounds kind of crappy at low RPM but bad-*** from about
2500RPM-up.

Love mine. Installed right underneath the passenger seat where the I pipe tucks up more. Like jimmyblue said under load, w/ the engine under 2000 sounds kinda truckish, but at idle and above 2 grand it sounds awsome.

My electric one is under the rear passenger's seat where the underside of the car goes up (perfect spot). Sounds bad *** at idle w/ my cam, LT's, and ORY but truckish from 1000 - 2000 rpms. Above that it's just insane loud. I also love the ability to shut it with the push of a button...even then it's still loud through my magnaflow!

nope, not if they are built right, you might have to use a gasket if you want a perfect leak free one but a little leak won't hurt anything, you wouldn't even hear it leaking.

My buddies 95 firehawk with the SLP 2OTL catback dynoed 5 more WHP with it opened. It;s manual and he wish's he got the electric. Running wires is easy man, it's 2 wires and would take you an hour at tops if you a rookie.
