where would the best place be to put a cut-out on an LS1 z28.
the I pipe or the out in the back closer to the muffler?

by the way i had a cutout on my LT1 and it was placed on the I pipe. really didnt like the sound although it really help me e.t. but i know that LT1s dont compare to LS1s

Put the cutout in the i-pipe. It will be louder there, than if you put it back near the muffler.

here's where i put mine before i went to bassani tru-dual. http://www.stealthram.com/2000pontiacformula.html then click QTP cutout. glad you are doing it for sound vs 1/4 mile gains.
