I have the hooker catback and like it. Sounds almost stock from the drivers seat while cruising but gets louder and sound nice when standing on it. I've had the flowmaster on a couple of Fbody's, it was annoying at highway speed.

I have Hooker and it sounds great, had it on my LT1 too. Its got a nice tone but doesn't get annoying. On a stock car it would be pretty quiet...with some headers it wakes up.

Hooker with LTs and ORY here. I love it! I MIGHT throw in a resonator in the I pipe to kill the little rasp the system has but on a stock car the system will sound nearly stock but with a sweet smooth sound to it.

I just put the Hooker cat back on my 2000 ws6,I thought it would be louder than it is.
Its almost the same as stock to me and only gets a little loud when i get on it.
Dunno maybe my cats are clogging up or somthing but even my wife asked if i changed the muffler, cause it sounded the same to her as well.

Hope it sounds better when i put long tubes and ory on it,cause it is too darned quiet for me.

Actually.. have a friend take it out for a drive and stand outside and listen to it. You wont think it sounds like stock when you hear it. I assure you. And yeah, when you put LTs on it, the exhaust will really wake up.

Here is a little vid of mine at that track. Jet Hot LT's, ory, and the Hooker cat back. You can hear it pretty good during the burnout, but a little hard to hear going down the track.

The Hooker is the best flowing catback out there for the money. Unless you want an annoyingly loud exhaust or you can't beat it, especially once you put LT's on there.

Oh Wow!!!! I love the Hooker Aerochamber now!!!
I Gutted the cats and what a diffrence it made, still stock sounding at idle but what a diffrence it made when i start getting into it,Btw one cat was almost clogged up on the pass side.
Any way I would recommend this muffler on anything,it sounds sweet.

Heh, hard to hear it WOT in that video over that mustang at the end.

I've got the Hooker CB on my car. I liked it much better than stock even with stock manifolds and y pipe.

I've got KOOKs stainless LTs on the car now with their 3" catted Y pipe and the car sounds mean. I couldn't get enough of it when I pulled the car out this spring and drove it around. Can't be beat for the price, and it's REALLY hard to beat the sound. I get complements at the track and even driving around town all the time.

I have LT's, ORY and the hooker catback, and its way to quiet..I can barley hear it, I dont like it because Its too quiet..at idle you dont even know the car is on..im thinking of putting my bullet back on instead of the catback

I do believe you have suffered hearing damage.

I agree with everone, sounds quite at idle/low RPM, at WOT it sounds mean. I also bought single tips to put on, don't like the dual tips on a Camaro, just don't look right to me.
