it's pretty much a "dynomouth". I had it with my MAC headers and it was too raspy. I then got a Borla XR-1 40085 muffler to tone it down and now it's pretty much perfect.

Do you just have the xr1 or do you have the bullet, then the xr1. I am about to do the same setup..I was just going to do the bullet. But it will be too raspy, so I thought of doing the bullet, and the xr1. But maybe I should just do the xr1 without the bullet?

i had the bullet mounted in the I-pipe right before the over axle (under the rear passenger seat) to mimic the loudmouth design. I got rid of the bullet totally and mounted the XR-1 in it's place.

it's a straight through muffler like the bullet, over stock exhaust, it should be worth 10-13HP alone.
borla is very nice quality and the bullet is still a great option for $35. I would have kept it but with the ORY and mac mids it was just too raspy. stock exhaust or even aftermarket headers with a catted y-pipe sounds badass with the bullet, great sound and hardly any rasp.

here's a clip of my exhaust

sorry I did it with a digital camera but you can get an idea.

as far as pics, it's just a copy of the Texas rumbler and nothing more, until I swapped out the borla for the bullet

So in that sound clip, what is your setup...? I am confused at what you switched out...

Any exhaust with thurndowns, under the car, will be very, very loud. Exiting out the back makes things much quieter.
