Default HELP! Putting motor mount bolt trough....

Hey guys, I'm having one hell of a time getting that bolt through the motor mount. When lowering the engine, you can only see half the hole of the motor mount through the bracket hole. It is the driver's side that I am doing for now and I have the prothane motor mounts. It would seem easier to line it up if I did both sides, but I just want to finish the car ASAP for some track duty. It seems like the motor is positioned to much on the drivers side, if I wigle the motor with the jack towards the pass. side, the hole opens up a little, but not enough. Someone please give me some tips.

Thank You

If you sit on the ground and put your feet on the oil pan you might be able to push and have a buddy slide the bolt it.

When we have a tough time getting the motor mount bolts through, we usually take a BIG screwdriver that wont flex, stick it in the other side of the hole, and use it as a pry bar. Usually works everytime.

Nice, yea hopefully my motor mounts will also help with some of the banging issues, but first I have to finish installing them .

What headers/Y-pipe are you running? Do you know where it was banging before?

I'm running the SuperMaxx system. It was banging under my butt and somewhere a little further back.
