Cleaning dirty intake system

Cleaning dirty intake system I put on a new aftermarket lid and K & N filter this weekend. When I removed the stock lid, I noticed it had a split in the hose that connects to the baffles. That means my car was sucking dirty air in 
. I cleaned off the MAF screen, which had crud on it with a soft brush, but I need advice on how to clean the TB and the rest of the intake system. Tell me what to do.
