Default Decision Time!!!

well its decision time for a new mod on the SS...

plan to order my headers this week and i have narrowed it down to this:
-Pace Setters w/ TSP Off-road Y-pipe
or
-Hookers with either TSP Off-road Y-pipe or the QTP off-road y-pipe

i really want to get Kooks or QTP
but the price is a lil steep for my check book

so im tryin to stay within reason

i just want a good header with good fit and NO LEAKS

so, what do yall think???

Dont pay extra for hooker over pace. Use theextra money and buy a REAL y pipe with a REAL merge. Get the mufflex. Its for the hookers but i would bet it fitsthe pace. They exit in the samelocation, but research it 1st.

Cost no object, get QTP or KOOKs.
Cost as a limiting factor, get the Pacesetters, it's that simple.

Mufflex Y pipe would be a good idea for either.

I had a similar dilemma last january. I couldn't decide between the QTPs and the pacesetters. The fact is, coated headers are better than painted, but they still aren't invincible to corrosion. I knew I only wanted to do one header install and I wanted it to be right. I ended up waiting a month longer and got the QTPs...and I couldn't be happier.

yeah, the Kooks or QTPs are on the top of my list but im on a tight budget seein as im tryin to buy exhaust, wheels and tires,a stall, and gears all around the same time

so im gonna choose between the Jet-HOTs or the Hookers...

prob end up with the Jet Hots since i have heard them and they sound pretty clean which its really hard to tell but
i dont know whether to get the QTP,Mufflex, or TSP y-pipe(off-road by the way)

any opinions or suggestions?????

Hey man, look if you want to do it right... and put the best in for your car. Then go with the QTP/Kooks... you can go buy Jet-hot and have the life time warrenty... but are you gonna be satisfied or have the feeling you bought the right header? Dude im 18 years old and work at a junky supermarket and all im saying is i don't get paid too much. But when it comes to performance parts for my SS... i don't fool around. I just ordered my QTP LT's and its a good feeling inside that i went for the best and paid for the best. The saying still go's "You get what you pay for". Pace and jet-hot don't get me wrong, are good headers... but there not good enough for me. It depends on if you want to save up for those extra months and get the ones that'll last a lifetime. Or buy some cheap ones and save your money, for the rest of the exhaust. The only advice people can give you is what to buy... the quality, and the question whats suitable for you? All of these are ovbious. Im looking down the road towards a Y-pipe (which you should save for all together with the headers like i did), Catback, cutoff, tips ext. just like you... but i'll take the extra time to do it right. Don't rush and try to get it done the cheapest way is my best advice to you!

I installed my Pacesetters a few weeks ago...Install was incredibly simple, price was awesome. They look great and perform even better!!! I personally run True duals so I can't speak for the Y, however I can tell you that for the $$$ Pacesetters are the way to go. Coated for $384 or something close to that from TSP..
