I was looking into replacing mine and even bought one but never used it. Seems as though it's not just a simple bolt-on deal. It takes special wrenches and pullers to remove the old one. And it doesn't look as though it can be done while the compressor is still mounted to the engine. Some local shops said they normally replace the whole compressor instead, but I'm sure they were just looking to make some extra money. Mine was making a god awful clacking noise on engine startup, thought it was a couple of loose rocker arms at first. I sprayed it with a spray lubricant and it has been quiet ever since.

A clutch hub puller/installer is required. + a hub holding tool makes life much easier. You have to shim & adjust the hub to pulley gap correctly also.
