Default Help with engine warning light.

Hi

When I start my car (engine cold) the low coolant warning light comes on. I checked and the radiator and overflow tank are full. Also no visable leaks. Once the engine has warmed up and I turn it off and resart it, the warning light will disapear. As long as the engine is warm, I can run without the warning light. Whenever I start it cold the warning light appears until the engine is shut off again.

Any ideas?

Thanks JA

Those sensors are notorious lighting up without there being an actual problem. Enough so that GM removed them on the newer cars (01-02).

Hi
Thanks for the input. It really insint hurting anything. It is a little frustrating, but I am getting use to it. I assume if I take it to a GM dealer it will cost a small fortune to fix.

Thanks JA
