Default electric water pump ?

when the meizeir water pumps are installed are they wired to turn on automatically when the ignition key is turned or is their a on/off high/low switch that needs to be pressed when the engine reaches a certain temp?

The install instructions above say it all, but in short, it's wired to come on when the ignition is turned on. I wired a switch to mine so I can turn it off when I need to easily like when flashing the PCM, etc.

It's wired however the installer connects it. You could connect it to a toggle switch and control it manually if you wanted to. I used a relay which picks when the IGN wire goes HOT, but it is totally up to the installer. Be sure to include a fuse on the switched set of relay contacts that go to the pump motor to protect it. I think it came with one of those waterproof type fuse holders.
