anyone ever use it on their lid or newhere else to coo things down?

I used it on the under side of my custom fuel rail covers.

I use the DEI reflective sheets and tape around my fuel lines since my duals are pretty close. It works well but I don't think that it would do much on your lid.

Are you not worried about slow roasting your ignition coils, or have you relocated them?
