Default Oldschool vette sidepipes on a 4th gen f-body?

I was always a huge fan of the sidepips on the ol stingrays. I was just wondering if anyone has ever attempted it before and if it is even possible. And if so post some pics or let me know how it can be done. I would be more than happy to do it but my little budget can only take me so far. thanks.

Side exit exhaust is possible and looks good if done correctly, but the sidepipes the way the corvettes had them would never work. There is not enough room to safely run the piping without bottoming out on every bump in the road.

unless you cut through a bunch of stuff... like, the body. plus, exposed sidepipes look tacky on late models, in my opinion. Side exit is a whole nother story.

I always thought they looked wrong on musclecars. Back in my day people did it. I have been very seriously thinking about it on my C5 for about a year now. It would be totally kick ***. Modified rocker panels. Big fat chrome tubes with a turn out. Only thing that makes me blink is Cal emisions.

i have side exit exhaust on my car...its tough to get the pipes to exit in an area where people deem it "acceptable"

it took me a lot of fab work...and the car is hella loud.

Lets get this straight...

Are you talking about sidepipes? http://www.rocknroadgarage.fr/images/vette78bleue-3.jpg

Or side exit?

Because side exit would be cool if done right... side pipes would be hilllll Billy on a late model car, they even look gross on that vette.
