True-duels and cutouts?
im looking at buying a car with true-dual setup and was wondering if its possible to put a cutout between the X pipe? or would I have to buy 2 cutouts ?

Also known as a "dump"...it lets the exhaust leave the tract before it gets to the muffler, removing any possibility of the muffler(s) being a restriction, at the expense of the increased noise.
And if you are going to do a cutout on duals, do two. I don't think the x-pipe would flow well with a cutout shoved in there.

Do you guys think dual cutouts very close to the header on a TSP dual setup would hinder dyno numbers with the cutouts CLOSED?
I wonder if the capped "tree" coming off the y part of the cutout would hinder dyno numbers while the cutout is CLOSED?

if you run a 3 inch x system with 3 inch bullets with a full 3" inside diameter, there is absolutely no point in cutouts. with dumps you will most likely lose power since you are losing the scavenging effect of the X. Furthermore, those bullet style mufflers dont create any more back pressure than straight pipe.
Also, with cutouts that close you run the risk of introducing fresh air to the O2 sensors which can really hurt power.

Whats the purpose of even running duals in the first place? You kill the whole idea behind true duals with an X-junction by opening some gay *** cutouts in front of the X...

I run true duals out the back with dual electric cutouts right behind the headers.
3" off the headers>3" x-pipe>2.5" Sweet Thunders>2.5" over the axle pipe.
The cutouts are for intimation ONLY!
With them open, traffic opens up in front of me like the parting of the red sea!!
Why can't people understand that cutouts are only a minor fix? Or a sound tool?
