Does a ported TB actually increase power or just give sharper throttle response?
Title says it. I haven't seen any before/after dynos, or strip results, with a ported throttle body, just opinions. Those aren't bad to have, but all that bothers me is the "SOTP, increased power, mod syndrome", that many of us seem to feel after many minor mods. Those opinions all seem favorable, however, just wondering if anyone has any objective information on installing a ported throttle body, particularly in a H/C car. As I am thinking about adding one to my car, I sure would like some input and actual results. Thanks!

My Shaner is a work of art internally! He doesn't touch the outside though. I could feel a difference on the very first test drive. I can't tell the difference anymore though, I'm used to the power, that's why I'm constantly adding parts. Chasing the dragon... he's hard to catch!

Shaner makes a really fine peice, however, I was thinking of going with the Lingenfelter. It's only $94/exchange. Pretty good deal, it seems to me.
