There isn't really anything special about it. Just unbolt the tube that connects in back of the compressor before reoving the compressor. It is held by one bolt that is kind of hard to reach. I got it from the back, going through the motor mount.

just unbolt a hose and let it come out. Is this your DD? I wish i could get rid of my AC because the **** never works, but summer in MD is a bitch, i already had to go without it for almost the whole summer and rolling the windows down just doesnt cut it. Cant escape the heat when you got hot *** air blowing on you. And also in the rain, when it is still hot, maybe its just my car, since it is black its like an oven.

I am pretty sure our cars dont have freon (sp?)

I found some really helpful threads when I removed my AC. I will do my best to dig them up for you. I never used my AC as well, figured it was best to just pull it...

Pick up a Haynes manual as well, it has helped me out a ton over the past year.

accumulator, which is really part of the lines since it is permanently attached to one of them.

you could go as far as removing the evap.

EVERYTHING means all the stuff behind the dash too. but then you'll lose your heater too.

I just did it today. it takes about 20 minutes. there are 6 bolts including bolts on the bracket with the pulleys on it. you have to take the back hose connection off in order to get the compressor out, and the dryer bracket is a Torx 40. looks cleaner with it gone as well. good luck.
