I don't know but I hear Thunder Racing sells this rubber bumper/hanger, made by Muflex, that treats the symptoms.

^you also get alot more vibrations. You'll get sick of it after awhile.

I took my header and Y-pipe off, and made a big crease in the floorboard with a bottle jack. Worked just fine

Will the new mounts help me put more horses to the wheels since the the motor will now have to put that energy to the drive shaft?

Unless the entire engine was constantly spinning in circles, you wouldn't see a constant gain.

i just got mine in the mail and i haven't been able to put it on. its a little harder to get on than i thought. you will have to take part of your y pipe off the header collector and the collector to slip it on. also i am having 02/plug issues right now and i gotta get it running right before i put the bumpstop hanger on.

Why not just weld it on?

I have this issue too, especially at high rpms. I actually feel like I lose power up top due to this - could it be activating a knock sensor when it bangs?

When I had my WS6, I had a problem with the y-pipe banging on acceleration. Mine was so close you couldnt get a hand in between the pipe and the floor. I replaced the motor mounts and tranny mount and it fixed it. The car had more vibrations when I was at crusing speeds (65 - 85) but it wasnt bad.

yep it could very easily trigger the knock sensor.

Well, dang. I wonder how thick of heater hose I should purchase? I'm worried that it will just fall out after awhile, tho.

i had the same problem with my S.W. ypipe and all i did was got some lowering blocks (or anthing thats kinda thick and metal) and put it between the pipe ad the floorpan and put a jack with a piece of wood on it and jacked up on the pipe it bent the top of the pipe down a lil like a crimp but not bad at all and solved my problems..i too was goin to do the poly mounts but was told by a couple of local f-body guys that you damn near have to pull the motor..a guy axually is in the middle of a motor swap told me it was a bitch with the motor out of the car so i said f that and bent the pipe...just my .02
