drivers side 2.5", passenger 3"
i currently have the tsp catted Y on my lowered z and it scrapes just about everywhere on the drivers side cat. i was wondering if it would be ok to run 2.5" pipes on the drivers side up to the cat, and keep the 3" on the passenger side so it wont scrape so much.. but will this be ok? i have no problems with the passenger side scraping, since it sits a lot higher than the drivers side..but would the drivers side being smaller affect the pcm or the way she runs in any way? losing a few hp isnt a problem, just as long as the car will run ok. Thanks for the info!

Your car must be SLAMMED! Are you sure you have everything adjusted right? Did you bash in the flooboard for a little more clearance here and there? lol
I would just have a custom 2.5" y-pipe made if i was you. Buy your own y-merge and go to an exhaust shop. Magnaflow cats on ebay can be had in 2.5" size and are fairly cheap. They flow very well also.
I would imagine that the 2.5 one side, and 3" other side wouldnt matter much judging by the stock setup with the crushed pipe.

do you know anyone with a lift or a large press?
a car lift works the best.
here is an idea for you.
take the section of pipe you wish to flatten and stick it under the lift.
place a piece of wood (2x6 or similar) down the pipe and let the lift down on it.
it will oval the pipe and give you that ground clearance you need.
good luck.
just an idea.
