Air lid install?
So i got all excited about getting a new mti wisper lid and a slp smooth bellows for my 00 WS6. I went to instal them i pulled off the stock lid the maf and the stock bellows. Then started to install all the other stuff i got everything pushed on as far as they will go clamped them all togther put the kn filter in. When i put the filter in the holder it wont go in it had these little fins on the sides of the holder that prevent putting the filer in. Do i need to getr a drimmel tool out and drimmel off the little fins? Also on another note i left the fileter off and just tryed to install the intake parts but when all properly put together it wont go on it almost as if the whole set up is almost a half inch to long should i cut back the bellows to fit or somethign else?

The tray that the stock lid sits in on the inside of mine it as little fins that help hold it tother. On a stock air filter it jsut slides in becuse there are no side walls on the filter but on my kn it has a hard side on it and wont let it sit in it. hmm i wish i could some some pics

I think I know what you're talking about on the filter. You're probably putting it in upside down? The rubber part that surrounds the filter should be on top and should just lay in.

Yeah cut the bellows. I bet that sometime from know you will end up getting rid of this bellow. When I installed my Volant system I had to switch to the stock ribbed bellow to make it fit. In the end the bellows is more of a cosmetic mod the anything. The lid is the real HP gaining mod there.
