Default pacesetters on a vert>?

Hey i saw that slp made a "convertable header installation kit" it replaces the crossbar behind the transmission crossmember. do you have to do this with all header installs on convertable ls1's or just for the slp??????

I bought one of these and it wouldn't fit my car's mount
hole locations (not more than three at a time, of the four)
and it interfered worse with the Y than my stock stamping
(which has been off the car for a while now; wonder what
the odds are of it fitting back on with the Jet-Hots)). It
was also pretty spindly of a weldment and I didn't see much
stiffening potential in it. It sat in my closet for about a year
before I threw it out in the garbage. And I don't throw away
many parts.
