Default Removing cats.. (sound question)

My only exhaust mod is a 3" cutout and I'd love to know what my car would sound like with the cats removed. And how much would a muffler shop charge to have them removed or gutted?

most muffler shops wont gut or removed them since they are tampering with a federally mandated emissions device.... if you do find one thoughprobably a hour or two to gut, and expect at least 2 to make you some "test pipes".

Personally mines sounds alot better to me since I gutted the cats. It's pretty loud with the cutout open. Cost me $40 and took about an hour for them to do it. It made the stock muffler sound a little throatier with the cutout closed as well.
