Default What do you guys think of these True Duals?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I can't really find anything about them on here. Anyone ever used these? Exhaust is expensive in Hawaii so getting custom for cheaper will NOT happen.

I want more aggressive than the magnaflow catback I already have.

I wonder if I have to have LTs for this system to work?

I already have slight clearance issues with my current setup with the eibach lowering springs.

I'm looking for comments on the overall look of the kit. There is no buy it now so it would go above 235 before the end.

On that setup it looks like you will have to have long tubes. And his positive feedback is sorta low being that his rating is almost a 1000. Which brings me back to my previous statement.

I think that the buy price would not be much higher. this same setup has been asked about numerous times. I have always said the same thing about it.

"Ends are expanded so they slip onto all LS1 long tube headers with 3in collectors. "

With all of the different headers out there, this is not possible. Would probably still have to bring them to a shop to have them fitted, unless you get really lucky. As for the dyno, how many 02 m6 camaros have you heard of putting down 276hp and having a torque curve that looks like that?

See, so apparently the seller knows nothing about it, or the cars for that matter.

Those hangers look like they would multiply the vibration by a bajillion.
Thats straight metal from the pipe to your body, no buffer.

They look nice, but he says they fit on all LS1 long tube headers. Actually, they will only fit ONE brand of LT header, as all brands differ somewhat.

If you have the facilities about you to modify stuff(welder, torches, etc.), it'd be worth getting. But I agree, they ain't gonna fit all LS1 headers.

well, I actually asked about the adjustability when I saw these sitting on Ebay. Here is the response I got (didn't see in the ad that it says Long Tubes, but I guess he took care of that mistake )

Them:
"how do you know it doesnt fit with adjustablity? have you personally installed our system on the 15+ header brands on ls1 motors? we have at our shop and can vouch for it. "

Me:
" ok know what, I'm not going to even try to explain anything to you. For a vendor your pretty damn rude about stuff.

Guess I'll go with Texas Speed duals, you really made up myy mind about that."

Them:
"explain it to us, if you know how our systems fit better then we do. after all we have intalled them on almost every type of header. why would you ask if it fits stock manifolds? it clearly says for long tube headers. why would someone go from 2.25 stock piping to big 3in? the stock manifolds would still be choking the exhaust. didnt mean to come off rude, just honest. go ahead with TSP, pay double the price and get really bad ground clearence. every once in a while we put on our duals on a fbody and remove thier TSP duals and trash them. "

Even if they had the best clearance ever, I don't deal with vendors who are rude to me, period. Same reason that I don't care how good the food is, if the service sucks at a restaurant, I don't go back.

If its somehow adjustable in the front then it theorhetically could fit on different brand headers. If they are welded solid, they will only fit one or two brands, maybe none. Also, I can't name off 15+ LS1 LT header brands for F-bodies...

1) SLP
2) QTP
3) Kooks
4) Dynatech Supermaxx
5) Flowtech
6) Pacesetter
7) Hooker
8) Edelbrock
9) Stainless Works
10) FLP (I think have v-band clamps, not slip on)
11) TTS (I think they have 3-bolt flanges, not slip on)
12) Hedman (have 3-bolt flanges, not slip on)

Any I'm missing?

according to the auction, the X-pipe is the only place thats adjustable, the rest of it is welded solid.

I still think that it will need to be modified no matter what you put on there. Nothing easy about blind exhuast fittament matching.
