Harmonic balancer appears to be wobbling at idle? WHAT!?
Not buying a car new you never know what to expect or all of it's history. Seems my crank pulley has a wobble to it. I'm not exactly sure what would have caused this. What does?
Is it possible it was pressed on crooked? Is the bolt cross-threaded? I'm not sure as I haven't looked at it yet. I know this can't be fixed by a post on the internet, but if you can offer some information please do.
The wobble is fairly noticable- I'd say 125 thousands. This is on my '98 with the stock balancer.
Thanks in advance.

Take a look and see if it's actually wobbling or if some nim rob smaked it on with a hammer and dinged one of the belt runners. If it is wobbling I suggest you take it off and inspect. Sounds like a perfect reason to get an under drive. Look at the distance between the back of the balancer and timing cover. It may give you a better idea if it walked off any.

I took my under drive off because it had a wobble to it at idle. Put the stock one on and it ran fine. Got a different under drive and runs fine now. If it is not hurting the belt I would not worry about it to much.

You do not want any wobble to your balancer. That will eventually F!@# your motor bearings up if It has'nt already. I wouldnt run it personally untill I fixed it.
