Default LOL Header install idea

I'm really not looking forward to jacking my car a mile in the air to install these headers. I don't have 6 ton jackstands and my floor jack is a little POS. What to do?

Last night an idea came to me. This is crazy but I just might try it. I will pop the sewer cover on the side of the road out in front of my house, park the car over it and when it comes time to slip those babies in....bingo!

I bet no one has ever tried this

hey i dont think it will work...you still need to have enough room to swing the headers into place from below

think about that haha
out the cars tires on some cinderblocks...thats enough

Yeah jerflash is right. It is more of a down and back towards the rear end motion. Still a funny idea! I thought about the dig a hole and drive over it too method Kory! hahaha

Um, it's gonna suck if you drop that header
You'll be blowing **** outta your exhaust for a few weeks

It's not really a sewer though, it's a storm drain with a ~3'x3' square opening.

I'm actually giving this serious consideration. I think there's a chance it would work pretty well. I know I'd need to jockey the car's position a little, and I'd certainly have to reposition the car to get the other side on.

I hope to hell I don't end up having to climb down in the hole

Watch out for the Ninja Turtles! They live in the sewer.

Are you going to put it all back together so you can move the car to put on the other header? I mean, you can't jack it up if the road is 'missing' underneath the k-member. However, the idea does have merit. I had an uncle who built a "pit" in his garage. When the house was built, concrete ramps were formed into the garage floor lifting a car about a foot or so. In between them was a "pit" that went down into the backside of the basement. Pretty nifty setup.

Take pics if you try it!

Beat me to the punch on that one...it was Chad's (Black02SS) car. Dude was standing in the engine bay while it was dangling over the edge and someone else feeding the header up

We had someone try to use the fork lift to raise their truck in order to put a lift kit on it. Needless to say a VP walked in right during the middle of it. Not only did the owner of the truck lose his job, but everyone in that building got demoted.

How about you just get a couple of guys and flip the car on its roof and then just pull the headers out

Seriously if the opening is big enough to move the header around in I dont see why it wouldnt work.
