HEI Type ignition for going carbed? I have heard that some one is making a hei type ign. system for the lxs. Does anyone know anything about this?

Only ignition I've ever seen for carbed lsx's is the MSD control module that fires the factory coil packs. Anybody else ever heard of an ls1 with a distributor? I'm thinking it would involve some major machining for the block, totally different cam.......not saying it hasn't been done, but I'm not sure why anyone would do it.
