Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? With the right induction components of course, how much could i expect from getting a ram air hood, and would the price be worth it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Also, would it be just as easy to get as much RWHP from a non-ram air hood with new induction components? All comments are welcome, Thanx!

Re: Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? I was also wondering if anybody had seen on ebay, a ram air hood that was being sold for 570$. It is a place in Ky i think and they sell them for that price, but i was a little weary cause it was so cheap. just wanted to know if anyone had heard about this. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? FYI, I believe there is a guy in PA who does good WS-6 hoods for around 600, he is really good with quality as well, if you don't like the hood he will make you a new one from what I hear. if intersted I can find out some more info

Re: Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? I would do the free mod, but i like the look of the ram air, and i have a 1999 white T/A so i was thinking about putting on a 30th anneversery (sp) kit. Those look so nice. i would really like some more info on the guy from PA though, thanx

Re: Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? The hp increase from ram air is a speed sensitive thing. How much is it worth ? Differant amounts at differant speeds. The faster you go, the more hp it'll give you. It's worth Zero on a dyno and very little on a drag strip. Probably 5-10 hp at the 100+ mph speeds across the lights. Now if we're talking 160 mph speeds it's probably worth 20-30 hp

Re: Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? Im pretty sure that you can use the stock air lid if you are going to do the flipped over idea. If so, then the FTRA would be a waste and would still be half waste if you were to have the right side up lid. FTRA is for folks that dont have a ram air hood.

Re: Would a Ram Air hood give me much HP? For $800.00 (includes s&h) you could get the Ram Air H.O. hood from SLP. I've got one and LOVE the looks of it. It combines the best of the WS6 and Firehawk hoods. Plus, they are rare. It has the higher "humps" of the WS6, but open nostrils (no lip between hood and bumper) like the Firehawk. Check it out!!! I don't have any pics of my car to show though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> It is functional and YOU USE YOUR STOCK AIR BOX!! Nothing else to buy.
