Default Anyone have an A/C Delete Writeup

I'm looking to get rid of my A/C since I never use it. I understand there are varying degrees to which you can remove it. I want to make sure I don't remove something I need for the heater. It gets cool at the tracks and I would use the heater now and again but not the A/C.

Pictures would be the best I didn't find jack on the search.

I did it and it's not very hard. You don't even need a write up. Just get in there and start unbolting.

I think some of the LT1 1LE cars have a heater only option. Might want to see if you can get a hold of the in dash box from one.

So I understand you just start tearing it out, but is there a best way to discharge the system and is there somewhere you can get a blockoff plate for the firewall?

Yeah just rip it all out and dont worry about blocking anything off...you could if are planning to maybe put it back in at some point.

Maybe like some rubber caps or something to put over the holes...not sure if its worth the effort though. I dont worry about it.

Put a rag over the valve when you discharge it though. You def. don't want that **** in your eyes!
