Are two cut-outs overkill?????
I'm getting a new exhaust built.
3" pipes off each collector, than into two 3" cut-outs, than into a Flowmaster merge (3" INLETS, single 4" OUTLET), than back to my MagnaFlow.
Or should I just have one 4" cut-out after the Flowmaster merge?
Thanks.

how far back are you going to run the dual 3 " cutouts behind your collectors ?o2s don't last long with open exhaust close to them.the single 4 " should be far enough away for them to last longer if you plan to leave it open much.make are you getting the chassis mount ta with the driveshaft loop ?if so make sure your y will not intefere.

I will have no cats. I was thinking of putting them right after the collectors. I don't have o2 sims, should I get them?
What is the difference in power gains from dual cut-outs or just one 4" cut-out after the merge? Might just be easier to do a single.
Also, I'll only have these open when I run someone, I'll never just drive around with them open.

NO....mine are DMH's which have slightly bulkier motor housings. SOB's are heavy, and in hindsight, should have elected to go w/QTP's.
Don't get me wrong, I love the DMH's but for tight clearance issues, I would have been better off w/QTP's
